Fall Season 2010 impressions

OMG, I'm actually go to be writing an article about anime this time. ^-^

Alright. I've given up. I'm starting to hate the idea of me being behind with the latest and greatest from Japan's TV line up. Starting to get this feeling that if I don't get up to speed nobody will take me seriously. So starting with the next season, I'm going to do my best to try and keep up with what's new in the world of anime. I'll go ahead and list off the series I'm going to keep track of, and after the first episode is out, I'll let you know what I think of them. After the season is over I'll let you know if I had dropped the series or not. So this is what I'm going to keep my eye.

Iron Man
Now you see why I'm going to be trying to keep up. To be completely honest, Iron Man is one of my least favorite heroes in the Marvel Universe. I don't care very much for Tony Straks personality, but I like the design of the suit. Also for not liking the character, I really enjoyed the two live-action Iron Man movies that have come out in the last couple of years. Very well written movies, and they did an awesome job of making the suit look sweet. So I'm interested to see if this series is going to be inthe same tone of the movies (signs point to yes) or more like the comics (the Mandrine is an awesome villian, and no one has done him correctly since the 90's cartoon). I'm hoping this is going to be good, but who knows.

Star Driver
Being completely honest, I like the design of the robot on this image. but at the same time reading the description makes this series sound like Godannar (great series, but if I want to watch Godannar, I'll watch Godannar). Since its the first one on the list, I guessing this series is going to be a big one this season. I up for robot action, hopefully that's what I'll get.

Bakuman
First off, I know they have been putting this in the Shonen Jump here in America, but I haven't picked up and issue of SJ since 10th grade. But from what I understand this series is suppost to be a lot like Genshiken (which is one of my all time favorite anime series EVER!), and that's the case I'm all over that. For those that don't know this series is about a couple of high school kids who are able to publish a manga, and now they are seeking to make it into an anime. Hopefully this is going to be a good drama series.

Soredemo Machi Wa Mawatteiru
This is a comedy series about a girl who works in a cafe and wishes to become a detective. I for some reason see this as a funny idea. I mean just look at the girl in the image. I want to see a good comedic reaction from her when someone is pointing a gun at her. It might be a long shot, but its been far too long since I've seen a good full hearted comedy series, and I thought I might try this one.

My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute
I feel like I have to explain the fact that while I might be a pervert (I have a character called HENTAI MAN JOE, for crying out loud), this is not what I'm into. Reading the summery of this one reminded me a lot of my sister and I hoping maybe I'll see some funny compressions between my actual relationship with my sister and this anime. Although if this turns into an insest storyline, I'm dropping this one faster than you can blink.

Tantei Opera Milky Homes
AGAIN THAT'S NOT WHAT I'M INTO! Out of everything that I read on the list of new show, this series seemed to be the most original. Its about a world of detectives and thieves in an search to catch one another. The story focuses on four young girls who are trying to become detectives in this world. This looks like it'll be one for the young female audience, and honestly there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, watching series like this helps me balance out my anime habit.

Super Robot Taisen OG: The Inspector
GIANT ROBOT FIGHTING! That's really the only reason for me taking interest in this show. This is an anime spin off of the hugely popular Super Robot Taisen series where they would pair up classic mecha series, like Gundam, and Goloin, team up and fight each other. Its like Marvel vs Capcom, but with mechs. Not expecting this one to be a winner this season, but I hoping its still going to be a good time.

Pokemon: Best Wishes
I can't help the fact that I can't wait to play Pokemon Black. I need to see what some of these pokemon are going to look like and what to expect from the gym leaders in this next installment of the gaming series. Let's just say I'm going to be watching this one as one might prepare for a test. MHA HA HA!

So that's what I'm going to be watching this fall season. Again I'll post up review of what I thought of the first episode when they premier in October.

So what will you be watching?
